how it works

the whole internet shares one single word on screen. anyone can replace it, and a live timer tracks how long each word survives.

recent word history

under the word, a feed lists the last words and how long each one survived. the longest bar is the best survivor.

one word, one source of truth

the word and its start time live in one record. every change is pushed live to every open view. if push is missing, views poll the record every 2 seconds. the timer is always counted from the stored start time, so every view shows the same number.

open this page in a second tab and replace the word to see it.
